The Favors are items that are awarded in important occasions such as Marriage, the First Communion, Baptism, Confirmation and the Golden Wedding anniversary (50 years of marriage) or Silver Wedding (25 years of marriage).
In recent years the use of favors has spread to other such ceremonies to celebrate the Diploma or Degree. The materials most used for favors are silver, crystal and porcelain, these items are always packed with bags, tulle or strips that contain sugared almonds in odd number (usually 3 or 5) and a different color depending on the type of ceremony . The favors for the ceremonies of the younger ones are usually prepared with boxes, bags, tulle or colored and cheerful, containing sugared-almond of chocolate and which is used to insert an object that represent a young character. All favors contain a card printed with details of the ceremony (name or names of the festivities, the ceremony, other data may be required).
Recently more and more people choose instead a new type of favor for their ceremonies: the "Favor Cake" made of cardboard boxes similar to slices of cake and placed in the likeness of a pie pastry on one or two floors. Inside the boxes are made with sugared almonds wrapped in tulle, a card printed with data from the celebrated and above each box is fixed trinkets for the type of ceremony. At the center of the cake there is always an object coordinated with those used on boxes, but larger and important. The Favor-Cakes can be used for all types of ceremony with a nice visual impact but at the same time sophisticated and successful.
